Now that the junk shop has all but died in most of England*, the place to find second-hand records (especially 78s) is at one of the organised record fairs. Here is a list of British record fairs. 
Sadly, as far as fairs that have 78rpm records are concerned, we're down to one venue at The Motorcycle Museum, though generally there are a few 78s to be found at Retrotech as well.

*I would be very interested to know of any that do still exist and regularly deal in records.

NOTES:
Greg Butler has now stopped running his "Greg's Greats" fair at his house after the June 2019 event, but is planning to have more specialised sales in the future, supposedly from 2020* onwards.
I will post more information once he has it. (*Obviously this "reboot" never happened due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but watch this space!).

Due to falling attendance, the CLPGS Phonofair, previously held in June in Powick, Worcestershire, has now been discontinued.

All the fairs have refreshments available, mainly snacks. Parking is also free at all events. More details about prices and times below.

RetrotechUK (formerly The National Vintage Communications Fair) is not strictly a record fair, but there are stalls which have records for sale, and there are usually plenty of gramophones.
