The Stars Record was
a pre-WWI record made in Germany which mostly used Polyphon masters. Sometimes
the label is just a "paste-over", usually on other labels such
as Operphone or Scala, but again sometimes on existing Polyphon records. It is not know who sold the records. The reference on the label to "Star artists" may be the one of the first references to the word "Star" meaning "celebrity". |
This is a first attempt at a listing. Please e-mail me if you can help me fill in the gaps in any of these series.
My thanks to Frank Andrews in providing
