Made in Germany by Homophon and Polyphon (and maybe others), for the Australian market, these records date from immediately before WWI. It is not known for whom they were made. All are 10" records.

The catalogue numbers, according to Frank Andrews, are the same as for the source Homophon issues (in the UK). Certainly, this seems to be the case with all known issues. It is not known if all Homophon issues were also made available as Rondophone records.

Rondophone records have also been reported with no catalogue numbers, just face numbers. These may be early issues.

In actuality, these are outside of my remit, as they are neither manufactured, nor sold in the UK, but it seems right to include them here.

Please e-mail me if you have any additions or corrections to this page. I have only a few scant details of any of these records from scouting round the internet, so I would be grateful for more!

The following people have sent me information for this page: Paul Buck, John Carmichael, "Discogs.com", Norman Field, Derek Kell, David Miller, Adam Parzybok, Nathan W. from Australia
