One of the many smaller records manufactured by Crystalate in the 1920s, Kiddyphone is obviously aimed at the very young, but the records are of the same fare as other small records of the time: dance band, military bands, banjo solos and ballads.

Kiddyphone records exist in three sizes: 5", 6" and 7". The 5" & 7" series seem to date from the same period (1924-1926), with the 6" ones appearing slightly later (probably Christmas 1926 - 1930). Confusingly, all three series are numbered from 1.

Much of the original listing is based on data from the late Arthur Badrock, most notably details of recordings dates and actual artists' identities. Much of this is from copies of the original recording ledgers and aural research.

Please e-mail me if you have any further information, but do remember to say what size the record is, please!.
