One of the many eccentric products
associated with Noel Pemberton-Billing, Fetherflex records were
lightweight and unbreakable, make of a similar material to the later
Duophone unbreakables. Fetherflex date from the early 1920s and were
very short-lived and are very rare nowadays. In fact, I suspect they
only sold in small quantites at the time; it is not known who they were
made for, or who was selling them. I believe that they may be German recordings, but if so, I don't know the source, it would seem unlikely they would be original recordings specifically for the label, if they are of German origin. Thanks to Bill Dean-Myatt for providing the label photo. |
Please e-mail me if you can help me fill in the gaps in any of these series.
Thanks to the following people who have helped with this listing: Mark Berresford, John Culley, Ian McPherson

Copy seen of the above record has "No. 3" on the label, presumably in
error, assuning the actual No. 3 above is correct. None have ever been seen with numbers between 5 and 50 and you will note a large jump in the master numbers, too, almost as though the label was restarted. |
