Electron records were a superior product from J. E. Hough's Edison Bell company, to replace the acoustically recorded "Velvet Face" records. Electrons were all electric recordings and all British matrices. Their price means they did not sell well and are rarely found today, compared with Winner records. They were available from 1927 to 1929 and the catalogue ran from 0150 to 0303. A 12" series was also produced in an X-500 series, which ran until about X-566, with the same label design. The Electron name seems to have also been used for Foreign issues, notably in Italy, usually in various smaller sizes. |
This listing of 10" issues is the work of the late
Arthur Badrock.
You will see that it is virtually complete, but should you be able to add
anything, then, as usual, Please
