This Butterfly label
was an oversized 10" disc using Grammavox masters (many also issued on
Popular). The label was dark red with a gold butterfly and used a B- catalogue series, possibly starting at B-1 but running up into the B-400s. There was also a C-series and D-series as well, of which only one of each has been reported to me. These recordings (and possibly the records themselves) date from about 1910-1915. Thanks to Mike Jones for the label image. |
